Our
Story
We equip students to become problem solvers, bridge builders, and forward thinkers in their generation.

A "Green Room" is a homey atmosphere where you get ready to go out and perform. It's where you practice creativity and experience camaraderie with peers before you face the pressure of the stage (adult life). Green is also for "GO." We won't to hold you back, but encourage you to excel at your own pace.
Get to Know Us
The Green Room Learning Community began in 2022 as a one room class of 6th-12th grade students meeting at Radiant Church, Anchorage. We are a collective of independent educators working together to benefit our students. Homeschooling parent and former public school teacher (gifted education specialist) Leigh Sloan launched it as a way for her own children to make friends with other students and learn from quality teachers with the convenience and affordability for families in mind. In 2023 it tripled in size and expanded to include K-12 students. In 2024 we are expanding further, keeping the convenience of families in mind as we offer two new Anchorage locations. We are excited to welcome you in to our learning community and watch you expand your capabilities!
At the Green Room, you'll have the opportunity to learn at your pace and accomplish your goals in a positive environment. We are a collective of independent educators that come together to provide your student with a quality education. We offer drop-off classes Monday - Thursday at two locations in Anchorage. Direct Instruction days (2 days per week at both campuses) offer instruction in all 4 core classes and Independent Practice Days (Tuesdays and Thursdays at the North Campus) offer facilitated independent learning for grades 4-12 with PE and additional electives.
